Talcott Perry was born in 1807 in Vermont. He married Elizabeth Makemson in 1829 in Logan County, Ohio. He was said to be the first settler in Whitley County, Indiana and his son David was said to be the first child born in Whitley County. Who were his parents? Talcott and Elizabeth had children William, Silas, John, David, Margaret,Nancy, and Mary. About the same time that Talcott settled in Whitley County, a Henry Perry bought land next to him. Henry was from Fairfield County, Connecticut.
