Richard Ellie Tollison, Jr. was my grandfather and his father was the Richard E. Tollison referenced in this post. The Richard Tollison you are speaking of is himself the senior.

His parents are Henry Tollison and Mary S M Tollison they are shown on the 1900 census living in Williamston, SC. With a son "Ellie" whom is of appropriate age. This is consistent with understanding in my family which places my grandfather's grandfather as "Henry". Additionally Ligon (mentioned above) took a leading role in supervising the final affairs of his father as he was the only one of the three brothers (Richard, Ligon and Ernest) living in Williamston at the time (he lived in Williamston until his death in 1983, his wife Alice continued there until her death in 2005 or 2006, my memory fails me there).

Hope this helps, sorry it wasn't provided sooner.

Richard
