Is there anyone that knows about the Major family in the
New Jersey area? Philip was born in Riegelsville NJ in 1828
and died in 1893 and is buried is Williamsport PA.
Having a difficult time locating any info on his parents.
Philip married Mary Catherine ________ born in 1830 in NJ and she is also buried in Williamsport PA having died in 1903. One of their sons, Hugh Hughes (or Hughes Hugh) was
born June 1858 in Greenwich, Warren County NJ.
As far I know, there were two more children born in NJ: Howard D and Hattie (which could be a nickname....info per 1880 census.
I understand the 1870 census is very limited due to a fire.
