No need! I already have it. I'm still trying to decipher the place name though, to see whether it was in the Milngavie area or somewhere else. Looks like "Thatch Mills" and not sure what the entry above it is... maybe Colryggan? Need a gazeteer methinks. Looks like the right connection though.

On an other note, I have found links to McNaught family, although it looks like 1 or 2 generations before the one you have, the Moore family and the MCCombs have links together also (Annie McComb wife of Daniel Maitland b. 1856). There was a census entry showing 3 of the Moores living with Daniel Maitland. I think I have found some of the others; they scatter back and forth between Milngavie, Strathblane (both fairly close) and Thornliebank in Renfrewshire (Completely the other side of Glasgow city.)

Also, ties with the Moores and the McArthurs. Highland Row in Milngavie keeps coming up, over and over again. it looks to be a hotbed of activity for the Maitland clan.

I'm still searching for the elusive Daniel Maitland and Jean/Jane Buchanan. Haven't unearther any records so far. I'm going over to Glasgow in 2 weeks, so i may try to fit in a trip to Milngavie and have a snoop around the graveyards while I'm there for clues!
