Hi Cheryl,
I have just been tracking Robert Maitland who married Catherine McOwat. He was my father's great uncle and was known as "Old Bob".His son, "Young Bob" was born in 1883. He also had a daughter who married and went to live in New Zealand. I know about the foundry where, according to my father, cannon balls and wheels were made for WW1. I had assumed that the parents of "Old Bob" were Robert Maitland and Christina Wilson but on his death certificate it names his mother as Margaret. Do you have this information? I realise you posted this message two years ago but after my research tonight I decided to see if there was information on the foundry and saw your message.
Hoping to hear from you,
