There was an Alexander Maitland, son of Alexander Maitland (b 11 may 1777, d 8 dec 1855 Venango Co. PA) and Margaret Cameron. Alexander's older brother Andrew was born in 1812, so 1815 seems about right for your Alexander. Andrew Married and had children in Rockland,Venango, so I would bet this is all the same family.
