Hi Deidre,

My gg grandfather, James Maitland, was born in Campsie about 1833. His parents were Daniel Maitland and Jean Buchanan. I have quite a bit on James's children and have connected with several second and third cousins.

I have been trying to find anything on Daniel Maitland born about 1800. I am beginning to think that he is just a figment of my over developed imagination.

Do you know where I could find a "good" map of the area? I live in Cleveland Ohio, just one of the locations that some of James' sons emigrated to. Not being familar with the area is a real drawback when searching the records.

Noreen
