Maitland in Lancaster,UK, 1850-ish

My GG Grandmother, Anne Maitland, married John Sanders in Stepney, east London, in 1847, giving her father's name as Matthew Maitland, Printer. In the 1851 census for Aldgate she gave her place of birth as Lancaster.

In 1853 she gave birth to my G Grandfather in 1 Egerton Street, Hulme, Manchester. He was her fourth child but all the others were born in London. He was given the distinctly non-English name of Charles Stewart Maitland Sanders and subsequently baptised in St Olave's, Tower Hill in 1860. As far as I can judge he spent the rest of his life in the City and east London.

Anne probably still had family links in the N West but I can't find the Maitlands in the 1851 Census for Egerton so I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has any information that might help.
