This is not my family but I have a note that your Edward was baptised at Llandeilo Talybont (Pontardulais) 22.1.1823, son of David and Mary Mainwaring of Llansamlet - his father being a labourer. In 1851 Mary (his mother) was a 53 year old widow living in Llansamlet and was a fruiterer. There is an item in the Cambrian dated 14.6.1861 recoding the detah of Mary Mainwaring of Foxhole aged 65 which probably refers to her.

David Mainwaring and Mary Edward were married at Llandeilo Talybont 12.7.1822.

Hope this helps
