I funded your forum with a lot of "émotion" !! The MAILLOUX in France are apparently not so reactive than in Canada and US, but they still exist. In Brest (Bretagne), there is a streat of "Colonel Mailloux", involved in the Marine at the end of the 19cent. So fare I know, a tradition of marine army has bring a lot of mooving in France, between Biarritz (Pays Basque) and Brest, through La Rochelle.
