Kathy,
My Joseph Elie Mailloux (my husband's father) born Oct 19, 1907, in St. Simeon, Quebec, Canada is your Elie's nephew.Your Elie is my husband's grandfather (Lucien Mailloux) brother that lived on Second St. in Somersworth, NH on the 1920 census and then moved to New Britan,CT accoring to the 1930 census. In 1930 my husband's grandfather Lucien lived in the same house on Second St in the 1930 census.
My husband was under three years old when his grandfather died in 1949 and does not remember him (if he ever met him).He did meet his father's step mother Aurore (Dufour) Bouchard, Mailloux, Poulin before she died in the early 1970's. She didn't speak English however. He has never met any other relatives in his father's family.
According to the records that I have Lucien worked in the bleachery in Somersworth.I had a hard time finding some of these records because their last name was misspelled.
I have obituaries for both Lucien and Aurore from a local newspaper and a picture of their thombstone in Mt. Calvary cemetery in Somersworth, NH.
We would love to see pictures of these people if you have them.
