Angelique Mailloux 1866 New Hampshire
Searching for information about my great grandmother ,Angelique Mailloux( Marie Angelique? ) ,whowas born in rural Quebec ,about 1844.
She married my great grandfather Louis O.Dubreuil on Jan. 6 , 1866(location unknown)after his release from the Union Army in July of 1865.
As a boy (about1842) he moved to the U.S. from St. Charles sur Richelieu , Quebecafter his parents died.Helivedin the U.S.using the alias John Wood until their marriage and they lived therefor several years after their marriage.
Shereturned to Canada ( Quebec?)for the birth ofthe first child , Angelique Dubreuil ( Marie Angelique?)aboutOct. 26 , 1866.
Several laterchildren wereborn in theU.S. withthe only documentedlocationsbeing in northernMass.and southernN.H. Inquiriesand census searcheshaveyielded little informationinthese areas .
Children’s namesnot occurring in the paternalfamilyinclude Olivine , Modeste , Dolphise , Emma , Anna , Georgiana , Amanda and Cleophas Aurele Dieudonne.
About1878the family moved west , probably pausing in Minnesota ( ? ) , before settling in Manitoba , Canada.From this point we have records.
