Worcester – Ozelie M. (Maillet) Richard, 103, formerly of Lyman St. died on Wednesday, March 26th in the Holy Trinity Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after an illness.
Her husband of 66 years Arthur M. Richard died in 1992. She is survived by three sons Romeo J. Richard of Spencer, Gerald L. Richard of Seminole, FL and Ronald P. Richard of Worcester; a daughter Dora T. Beaudin of Worcester and St. Petersburg, FL; 20 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Ozelie was born in St. Norbert, New Brunswick, Canada daughter of George and Philomene (Maillet) Maillet and is predeceased by a son Marcel Richard who died in 1965, a daughter Gloria M. Sutula who died in 1987 and 6 brothers and sisters.
She was a machine operator for over 25 years at the former Reed and Prince Co. and was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church and it’s Golden Age Society. Mrs. Richard also belonged to the Assumption Society and the Dames de Ste. Anne Society.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 29th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. with a mass at 10 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church 53 Illinois St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are on Friday, March 28th from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Name of Jesus Church 51 Illinois St. Worcester, MA 01610, Holy Trinity Nursing Home 300 Barber Avenue Worcester, MA 01606 or to the Holy Trinity Hospice Program 2 Foster St. Worcester, MA 01608.
