Note 1: In the Mahler Family graveyard beside E. Gideon's headstone are 2 headstones engraved MJM AND ECM/EGM which are believed to be infants that died at or shortly after birth. This cemetery is in the middle of a corn field in Fulton County, Indiana on the Mahler homestead.

Note 2: Martha and Isaac Slonaker are brother and sister. There parents farm in Pulaski County, IN was right beside the Mahler farm in Fulton County, IN. The county line was their property line.
