Gustav Mahler and the inventor of Kleenex connection?

I understand from my mother and grandmother, both deceased, that we are related to the composer. My most famous other close relative is Ernst Mahler who moved from Austria around 1901 and ended up a VP at Kimberly Clark having invented absorbent cellulose fiber (Kleenex and Kotex as well as surgical uses). I don't know the connection. Any info would be welcome.
