I'm the oldest of six adopted kids. I live in Rockville, Maryland. My youngest brother was born in Michigan in January, 1966. His mum had been a governess in the DC area, but was originally from Dublin, Ireland. She lived with us for a few weeks before and after he was born and my folks, Donald and June Rice, adopted him. We stayed in touch with her for several years after my brother was born. We know Peggy remarried and we are pretty sure her last name was Sullivan after remarriage. She had another child before we lost touch with her whose name was Patrick. My brother, who is 43, was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma several months ago. Of the six of us, he's the only one who has not connected with his biological mother. He has very little time left . . . we think only weeks.
