Greetings from Texas:

The Benjamin Mahaney you mention in the forum is my 5th Great-grandfather. Unfortunately, I don't have any info as to when/where/how he came to the US. The only info I have other than the early South Carolina censuses is a copy of a SC Land Grant to Benjamin Mahanah dated 19 Aug 1774. My branch of the family went from South Carolina to Tennessee to Missouri in the 1850's and to Texas in December 1887. Most of us have been here in North Texas since then.

If you're interested in the Texas branches, drop me a note. If you ever find out the particulars regarding Benjamin's immigration, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DROP ME A NOTE!!
