Thanks for all your help. If you come across anything on the James Emmanuel and Fannie Shirley family, please keep me in mind. I have their children as follows: Claude, b. 1891, Willie (dau) b.,1894 and Rufus, b. 1898, all were born in ARKANSAS. Willie married William Smith and they were living in Denison, Grayson CO., TX on the 1920 census. Rufus was living with them. I believe Rufus later married a Margarite Baldwin and had a son, Charles Lee in 1926. There are a couple of Claud/Claude Mahaney given in the SSDI, unsure which, if any, is correct. Have been unable to find Fannie Mahaney on census, after James died, but know she was living as late as 1945, as she is listed as a surviving sister on the obit of her brother, U.S. Grant Shirley of Alma, NE.
