I did find this info:

State (Year) SSN issued: California (Before 1951 )

The age matches that of the Thomas in the 1910 census with WE and Nellie Mahaffey.

I also find Clovis Fern Smith Lee, Garland, AR in 1930.

I could not find a marriage record in AR though to help you with your question. You may want to look in CA records seeing that Thomas had his SS # issued in CA. I could not find any such records on Ancestry.

You may want to find an obituary for Thomas. They may have them online somewhere.
