I am sorry to say that Perry Green MAGNESS is from a totally different line of MAGNESS that came to America in the 1700s. My MAGNESS family came to America in the 1890s. However, I believe your grandfather can be found in the 1920 Census listed as H. Wm MAGNESS age 4 1/12 in McMinnville, Warren Co, TN son of L.P. & Bettie MAGNESS. This would have to be the Pope MAGNESS listed in the 1910 Census. In 1900 there is a Lee P. MAGNESS listed in Dekalb Co, TN son of Bethel W. & Martha MAGNESS.

Hope this helps,

Good luck

Lance
