Looking for lost family. Story goes that my grandfather as an early age wnet to live with his aunt and uncle. His name was Walter Charles Mangess, BUT changed his name to Walter Charles Howard (the name of the family who he went to live with). Walter was born 2/23/1887 and died 3/7/1937 in Gunter, Texas. His wife was named Nora Jane Boggs (from AR) They were married in Rice, Navarro Co., Texas. They had a son (my father Lois Lester Howard) 7/21/1911 in Alma, Ellis Co., Texas. Do not know who his parents were, but the mention of Navarro Co. in your posting stuck a bell. Hope you might have some information.
