Colonel Morgan Magness arrived Independence Co, circa 1840. Any have any information/ connections on him or his family before that? Wife? Sibs?
His son,(my direct line, may be other children) W.D.Magness b.8/1/1846 Magness Ark, d. 10/20/1931. W.D. (m.2/10/1879)Mary E.Edgar b. 3/15/1852, d. 3/11/1931. Grandson, Morgan Edgar Magness b. 8/16/1883, d. 12/23/1905 (m. Myrtle Edgar.) Will add what I have if interest. One result is G.Russell Brown and Vivian Magness (m. Pulaski Co. 5/26/1920)of Little Rock.
Most interested here to learn more about the Colonel coming to Independence, any family then, and the town that seems to have been named after him/ his family of Magness, AR. (family legend :-)) )
