Seeking information on a J. J. Magness. He is listed as buried at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Calloway County, Kentucky. According to the cemetery record, he was born August 7, 1837, and died December 12, 1912. He is listed in a 1910 newspaper as a Confederate veteran living in Marshall County, Kentucky. Does anybody know which Confederate unit he served in during the War? Thanks.
