This site is interesting and I believe though late I can answer some questions.

George Fredric Magill b. 1762 d. 1828 married Sarah Boyd (b. July 29 1754, d. July 26, 1835). They were married Nov 12 1786 by Rev Charles Brown in Broughshane (don't know if that is in Down?). This is the first record of a Magill/Boyd relation. Boyd often pops up in Magill names. James Boyd Magill was one of the orginal settlers to the new world. He settled from County Antrim, Ireland to Chester Co. SC in the fall of 1823.
