Hello:

My Magills were from E. TN via William Magill. William settled in what is now Greene Co tN (originally part of NC). James (One of Wm's sons moved to Monroe Co. TN (Madisonville). His son James Jr. was the father of my gr grandfather William Marshall Magill. Some of his siblings moved to GA near Chatta/Ringgold)I can't find out when William or maybe his father James moved to St. Louis from Monroe Co. TN but am egar to find out how he got to St. Louis. He married Sallie (Sarah) zenor in LA and they ended up raising William Hobson and Lucretia in St. Louis. Lucretia Magill was my grandmother. She married George Davison of IL and eventually they moved to Chatta. TN My mom was Zenora Davison Duffy.(Married Owen E. Duffy). Does anyone know how James JR or William Marshall ended up in St. Louis?
