Hi Maurice,

Good to hear and thank you for that Magill info. There is also a Joseph Magill there too(in Roane Co.) in this same time frame, but not sure of the relation. Here is bits of the Cash family Will/deeds. It looks like he owned the Cherokee Creek property for only 4 years. Family lore says they were near and associated with Jonesboro. This same James and Margaret appear to be the same ones in Granville Co. NC in 1760's. We know she is Margaret Dozier from the Will of her Dad James Ingo Dozier and also some petitions from her brother in Nelson Co. KY. These guys all originated from the Westmoreland Co. VA area and the surrounding counties:

Email from Washington Co. TN Historian/Researcher Betty Hylton, refering to this same family of James and Margaret Cash of Washington Co. TN:
In the History of Washington County, Tennessee 1988, p. 80: "A deed recorded in Washingotn county in 1800 conveyed one and one-fourth acres of land from James and margaret Cash to James Law, Isaac Hair, Jeremiah Regan, John C. Harris and James Cash, trustees, to be used as the site of a Methodist Episcopal Church. Bishop Francis Asbury often visited the ohome of James Cash during his travels through this area. The church was built on a small hill, near the head of the Bacon Branch of Little Limestone Creek. it is not known how long this church served the community, but for many years the area was known as "Cash Hill." An old cemetery is lcoated on the site of the church." The Cemetery Survey Team would like to locate this old cemetery and any history about it.
