Hello Laura,

Thank you for your information! I surely hope tis might be my family' I have been at a standstill for so many years on the Magees and have found no real clues, nor other family members!

You mention that the two families, brother and sister, were neighbors for 40 years but where? all I know is that my Roseanna, born about 1809, supposedly in Ireland, ended up in Tennessee, probably Smith, Macon or Sumner Counties. I know she married Hezekiah Blankenship about 1826, but the marriage in Tennessee has not been found; many records destroyed in the Civil War.
Their son Francis, said, in the 1880 census, that his mother was born in Ireland. she died a fairly young woman, mid 1850's in Fayette Co. Ill, the wife of one Zachariah West.
This is all I know but many of my ancestors came from Northern Ireland and I am sure she did too.
Can you send me your personal e-mail address? Most of this will not benefit others I am sure, as I know so little!

Thank you for your help. Oh yes, were your Magees Protestant or Catholic?
