30 years ago I corresponded with Mrs Paul Madren. She wrote a short "History of the MADREN Family", descendants of AMOS MADREN. Amos and Ellen Hicks Madren children:
1. Jimmy Madren, 2. William Jefferson Madren, 3. Anderson Daub Madren, 4. Julius Edmonds Madren, 5. Betty Madren. In the line of JULIUS EDMONDS MADREN: 7 children, son MACK D. MADREN 1886-1962 married twice, 5 children. One of the children, Clyde Vawter Madren 8/15/1910 m Mamie S. Westendorff b 8/9/1912, children: 1. Merlie Ann b 5/33/1938 m Frank Smith, 2. Clyde V. Madren Jr. b 12/23/1943. This is a small booklet, but I hope this helps.
AMOS was the son of Thomas and Betty Weymouth Madren. IN 1819 this family started for MO. but settled near Rockingham
Co. NC when it snowed.
