Hello All:
My name is Robert O. Blea from Albuquerque,New Mexico.
My family tree has been traced back to the Sixteen Hundreds
to Tomas Diaz-Blea who was born in Puebla,Mexico and who married Lucia de Porras.
Their son Carlos Diaz-Blea was the first Blea to settle in New Mexico.
Carlos Diaz-Blea was born 16-September,1670 in Quecholac,Nueva Espana.
I don't know where exactly Quecholac,Nueva Espana was,but I believe that it probably was around Northern Mexico, possibly
Chihuahua or Jalisco or any state which borders the U.S.A.
Carlos Diaz-Blea married first to Pascuala de Herrera with whom he had seven children. After becoming widowed of Pascuala de Herrera,Carlos Diaz-Blea remarried to Juana de la Vega daughter of Juan la Vega and Maria Madrid.
Juana la Vega was born about 1728 in Santa Fe,New Mexico and
died 22-July,1751 in Santa Fe,New Mexico.
I would very much appreciate any assistance with researching
Maria Madrid who married Juan la Vega.
My first Blea ancestor born in New Mexico was Juan Gerbasio Blea, the last son of Carlos Diaz-Blea and Juana de la Vega.
Thank You all very much for your time and attention.
Robert O. Blea ---
