Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Your father, Jose Cruz Madrid, and my father, Carlos (Charles) Madrid, were half-brothers.
Jose Cruz was the son of Juan Nepomuceno Madrid (10/11/1860-01/22/1951). Nepomuceno was married three times. Damacio, Pablo, Jose Cruz, and Salome came from the first marriage. Grabriela came from the second marriage. Vicenta, Carlos, and Rosita came from the third marriage. Carlos Madrid was my father. He lived in Ribera, NM, where he raised eight children. Jose Cruz moved to California where he married a lady named “Billie.” He worked as a train engineer and conductor for the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad. When I was very young, I met your father, Cleofus, when he came to visit my father in Ribera.
