Sorry but I just started looking at this forum recently so you mayalready have this info..
My maternal grandparents were William (Billy) John Madore(born 3 Jun 1887 in Aberdeen Twp, Pontiac County)and Mary Sophie Lavigne (born 24 Feb 1887 in Pt Alexander, Ont) were married 5 May 1909 in Rapides Des Joachims, Quebec (Aberdeen Twp, Pontiac County, Quebec) they had 7 children. (William, Arlene, Emmeline, Aloysius, Mildred,Clarence, MArietta)
William's father was Joseph Elie (Joe Sr.) Madore born 15 Jun 1850. He married Mary Anne Matte and had 9 children. (Ernestine, Joe Elie, George E., William John, Mary Josephine, Lena Minnie, Ida, Joseph Henry, Wilbert)
Joe Sr.'s father according to our family's verbal history was Laurinzo(?)Madore who was said to have married to Claudette Poupore. But I can find no on-line records to confirm that.
I have Elie "Eloi" Matte and Anne Benoit as Anne's parents.
I have Anne being born 22 Dec 1861 where?, married in 1883 on L'Isle Aux Allumettes, Pontiac, Quebec and dying on 31 Jan 1923 in Rapides Des Joachims. Hope this adds to your records.
