Found this on the net when researching Kamouraska.

THE PIONEER FAMILIES

MADORE

This family descends from Jean-Baptiste de La Bourlière, son of Jacques de La Bourlière and Françoise Ferrand, from the Poitou.

Jean-Baptiste set up in Kamouraska with his wife, Catherine Françoise Martin, daughter of Joachim Martin and Anne Petit, from Saint-Pierre of the island of Orléans. In his large family (9 children)there was an Augustin-Amador.

Jean-Raphaël, son of Augustin-Amador and Josephte Ouellet, grandson of Augustin-Amador and Anne Michaud, decided to change is name in Madore to underline his bond with his ancestors who all had "Amador" in their first name. Four generations followed one another, and this family still lives in Kamouraska.
