Have you considered trying to locate your Madison line with a DNA test of one of the male Madison's in your family? I certainly encourage you to do at least the 37 marker or 67 marker test with www.Familytreedna.com

My Madison line moved from Virginia in the early 1800's to Tennessee. Lets see if they match family names.
