James Madewell m. Elizabeth Garrison in MD 1743 info
Today a cousin opened a file I was sent that was by someone else. It is from Robert W. Barnes' "Baltimore County Families 1659-1759; a message that reads:MADEWELL, JAMES, bc 1714 m. Elizabeth (---); on 10 Feb 1743 leased part of My Lady's Manor, the lease to run for the lifetime
of Madewell,Eliz. Ady Garrison b. c. 1721 and her son Job Garrison, bc: 1741, had iss: Alexandra. b. 11
March 1745 (77:450; 120:114 /r).
I notice on here several different women are said to have married him. Also someone said Elizabeth was full blooded
Cherokee. I doubt it.This woman is the woman who married a Paul Garretson/Garrison in 1735 in St. Paul's Cathedral in Baltimore and they had son Job. If anyone knows anything about this I would sure like to speak with them.
Her name was Elizabeth Frazier andI was told that she had gotten a divorce from Paul ...but I readthe other day that no divorces were given to anyone in Maryland as it was a CAtholicColony. So I wonder if Paul died?I'd love to hear from anyone from anyone who might be descended from children of James Madewell and especially his son Andrew . 3/11/1745.
