I too just recently found the information on the "two spinster Madewell sisters" in the Mikeman Cemetery, Barry Co., MO. I believe them to be the sisters of Nancy (Nannie) Madewell who married Samuel L. Ledgerwood, as there is a Mikeman married into the Ledgerwood family also.
My grandfather, Henry Madewell, had a sister named Nancy. I have her date of birth as 1874 MO, death as aft 1920. Henry and Nancy had three other sisters, Elizabeth (Betty)b.1870 MO, Tennessee b.1879 TX, and Polly (Poppy) Matilda b.1883 MO.
I am researching these three sisters, but as yet have found nothing on them.
I do, however, have a gut feeling that they are my great aunts, daughters of Joseph Hildreth Madewell and Edith Eda Elyvry Tyson.
Should I find anything I will let you know. Anyone having information on any of these Madewell women I have listed, it would be greatly appreciated.
