George Maeder died in Quincy, IL on Sep 10, 1908. Per the Quincy Daily Journal he died in an elevator accident. He was working at the age of 81. He was hard of hearing and did not hear the warning bell of the elevator and fell into the shaft.
Mrs. Juliana Schupp lived with George and she died at their home on 1225 Elm on 24 Jan 1897
