Thanks for your reply. I was wondering if you would kindly photocopy The History of The Madeley Family for me, and I would refund costs? Is it a large volume?

I don't know if there are any connections. I am descended from Thomas Madeley, my great x4 grandfather, born Ellerdine, Shropshire 1787, bapt Waters Upton. He ended his days at Ruabon, died 1861, he was a schoolmaster there. He was the son of James Madeley of Prees, who was huntsman to Sir W.W. Wynn of Wynnstay, Ruabon. Thomas's one son William Madeley emigrated to Barbados, and owned sugar plantations there.

Best Wishes

June McCarthy
