I am not related to the Maddux family but do research on Mechanicsville, TN; Short Mountain Methodist Church and Melton Cemetery loctated in Cannon County what would have also been Warren County. I have just catloged and taken digital pictures of the cemetery and there is a section of Maddux in the Maddux/Ware Section. The connection is N.G. Maddux was married to Martha C. Ware. Other Maddux are also buried here. N.G. Maddux owned a general store in Mechanicsville. If you have any information on the area or need pictures of the Ware's please contact me.
