My fourth great grandaunt, Mary Polly Buckner, married a John Maddox circa 1765 in Virginia. I show him born about 1742 in Virginia and dying in 1815 in Pennsylvania. I, too, am looking for more information - I don't know if our John Maddoxs are the same one.
