Maddock Quaker Births, Chester, Cheshire 1660-1681
I searched through the Quaker birth records archived at the London PRO as RG6-1035 and found the following birth records for two different sets of MADDOCK parents, all children apparently born in Chester, the Cheshire county seat.
Nathan and Alice MADDOCK of Chester:
son NATHAN born 30/10/1660(30 December 1660 in the NewStyle calendar adopted 1752)Hereafter NS.
daughter ESTHER born 16/12/1661 (16 February 1662, NS)
daughter DEBORAH b. 30/4/1664 (30 June 1664, NS)
daughter DEBORAHb. 30/4/1666(30 June 1666, NS)[Giving a later child the name of one who died in infancy iscommon, BUT the exact same birth date raises eyebrows.Unfortunately the Maddock births are not includedin the other set of birth records I have for this era and I can't double check that way.
son ABELLb. 1/9/1668 (1 November 1668, NS)
daughter RACHELL b. 30/7/1670(30 September 1670, NS)
daughter ALICEb. 23/3/1675(23 May 1675, NS)

son JEHOSHABETHb. 25/4/1681(25 June 1681, NS)
This name is unique in my experience, but it's the correct reading, so far as I can determine.
One Richard MADDOCK, aged about 26, of Gatley, Cheshire, died there 4 June 1731 and was buried in the Quaker burying ground at Mobberley, 6 June 1731.
