John Madden and Theny/Thiny/Barthena Price married in Carter Co. TN about 1821. Probably same John and Barthena in Campbell Co. TN on 1850 Census. Son Wm. Madden living down the road and assit. Sheriff at the time. John had children Elizabeth, James C. and others. They disappear from me after that census. James C.(1870) and brother William (1878) show up in Denton Co. Texas. James C. married Mary J. McDonald. William married Malinda T. Cooper. All but 2 of William's children marry in TX and live/die there. One moves to Oklahoma. Most TX Maddens buried in Denton IOOF cemetery. Surely someone knows the TN and TX families. I have lots to share but can't get back beyond John and Barthena..help! and thanks!
