Hello,
My family has been searching for some time now about my grandparents families-alot of secrets were kept-and alot of the family was NEVER spoken about. My grandmother Ruth Shirley Madden from what we know had two brother Robert and David both younger. They went to live seperately with their Aunts and Uncles The Linde and Ashton families on Kerper Street. I was told her parents past away together in a horrible accident-never questioned it until we got older and things just didn't add up. My great grandmothers name was Mary Ellen Madden (nee Ashton) she was institutionalized in Norristown State hospital and past in the early 1970s. She was married to a man named Shirley Madden. We never knew their names until recently. I was told he as well lived on KERPER STREET IN PHILADELPHIA I BELIEVE IT MAY HAVE BEEN 1054 KERPER STREET. I do know there is a John Madden also in the family, I think it may have been my great grandfathers brother. i would greatly appreciate ANY information at all on any family relations.
