Hello,
I am looking for more information regarding the family line of Robert E. Macy born in Illinois in Jul of 1847. He died Aug 20, 1903 in Butler County, Kentucky. He was married to Rosaline Flener in Butler County, Kentucky Nov 8, 1883.

He served in the Civil War. 9th Kansas Cavalry, C company.
He lived in Independence, Montgomery, Kansas after being mustered out of the military before moving to Kentucky.

Robert and Rosaline had two sons: Claud(e) L. and Clarence A.

I have ordered Robert's complete military file and his complete Pension Packet from the National Archives, but to my dissapointment, there was no information about his birth or his parents in any of the files.

Robert was my g-g-g grandfather. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You can reply to this post, or email me at bmattingly@insightbb.com

Thanks again,
Brandi (Macy) Mattingly
