Hello Charles
I have been trying to find a connection between my Mackenzies,Frasers,Bain,Macrae for some time and I think I now have it. It was your surname that set me thinking and I have been doing some in-depth research. Kenneth Mackenzie who was married to Isabella Macrae was the son of John Mackenzie and Margaret Fraser. Margaret Fraser was the daughter of James Fraser b.1790 and Janet Bain b. abt 1800 Gairloch. Do you know of these people? If so, do you know if James was previously married to a Mary Mackenzie? Kenneth, I am sure had a brother Duncan who married a Janet Fraser in 1905 and she was the grand-daughter of James Fraser and Janet Bain.
I really shall have to join them all up and make some sense. At the moment I am skipping between 2 separate trees. Please be patient.
Have you done your Bain 'tree'?
