I have just located obit from Standard Freeholder which reads "Two weeks ago we alluded to the death of Mrs. Alexander Chisholm, which occured on the 26th nite at the residence of her son William Chisholm of the 9thConcession of Cornwall Twp.
The deceased lady had reached the advanced age of 98 years, something remarkable in these days when but few comparatively attain the alloted 3 score and ten.
She saw the commencement of the present century with all the marvellous improvements and advances and it was when listening to her in her native Gaelic she would fluently discourse the wonderful change that had been wrought in that time, that her great age would be brought permantly to the minds of those about her.
She came from a long-lived race, her father Allister McRae of Kintail, Scotland, when tradition hands down as one of those noble-hearted Highlanders who followed the 'Bonnie Prince Charlie', being 95 years old at the time of his death. She was of medium stature, of compact and wiry frame, and of bright and active disposition.
Her birthplace was Camasthlune, Kintail, Scotland with her three brothers(the fourth died in Rome where he was completing his studies for the priesthood)and two sisters. She came to Canada in 1821, settling near Dundee, where she was married to Alexander Chisholm, who can still be remembered by many of the older residents of Cornwall Twp.
In 1833 with her husband, she moved to the 9th Concession of Cornwall Twp,where she remained continuously until her demise.
The McRae family, of which she was a sister, was one closely connected with the early development of those counties, and many of the descendents are yet among us.
Among those might be mentioned, C J McRae of Glen Roy, Alex McRae of Glen Nevis. Christopher McRae of Roxborough, Duncan McRae formerly of Cornwall, and now of South Finch, Farquhar McRae of St. Andrews, Rev. Father McRae of Glen Nevis, Christopher and William Chisholm of Cornwall Twp.(her sons)John McRae of Harrison's Corners and Alexander McRae of Finch Twp. John A. Chisholm, barrister, Cornwall, (grandson)."

I would appreciate it if some could give me details of her McRae family.
