I have information on these two people via a family history compiled by my ggrandmother Matheson around 1900.Alexander Matheson M. Christina Macrae and had at least 4 sons:1. John "Achtayloran Branch" Matheson 2. Farquhar "Lockalsh and Balmacarra Branches" Matheson, 3. Dugald Matheson, and 4. Donald "MacAlaster Branch" Matheson. Farquhar Matheson had at least 1 child: Donald "Of Balmacarra" Matheson. He was a Sergeant Major in Militia (which one?), m. Marian MacDonald (1768-1854), and emigrated to Nova Scotia in 1825. They had at least one son in Scotland: Farquhar Matheson, Schoolmaster of Benbecula, 1805 - 1839. Farquhar m. Marian MacVicar, who died in 1846 or '49, and they had at least one son, Alexander Matheson, in Scotland. Alexander Matheson (1832-1897) m. Janet Johnston (1847 -1923). They had emigrated to Brantford, Ontario, Canada in 1850 and 1864, respectively. They had several children including my ggrandfather, Charles W. Matheson (b. 1876 Michigan - d. 1940), and his brother, Frank, who together built a very successful car company after 1900, producing cars called the "Matheson". Charles W. Matheson m. my ggrandmother Anne Fuller, (1880 - 1950) and they had 6 children including my grandmother Anne Matheson Hinchman (b. 1905 d. 1993.) Does this information help at all? I may be able to dig up some other info on brothers and sisters in these generations as well...Sara Howell
