Husband from Antoine Mombourquette b.c. 1715 at Fort Louisburg and son Antoine who lived in L'Ardoise and stayed there until around 1900's and then they started moving around ....
John McPhee from Quebec - which part? - I have a friend
tracking McPhee's in the Quebec area and is related to
John McPhee b. 1725 settled in Hants Co. NS. For info on
McPhee's go to DNA site it has genealogies at
http://www.mcduffiedna.com/DNAresults.htm - James McPhee
lineage was first J2A in group 10 but since changed due to
another test to I?? - I think they haven't got an accepted
formula established as yet for halpo groups. Your PEI/Cape
Breton match is that McPhee? My problem is our McPhee's in
Nova Scotia 1776 and James was 17 years old - having problems locating his family - records scarce in Scotland
found a sister in Glengarry Ontario but do not know specific location nor the first name of her husband the
married name is MacDonald - I have an orginal letter dated
1813 that gives me some names of children - still cannot
track - Great to have original documents but this one has
put up another brick wall..... Alice McPhee Mombourquette
