Hello Bruce;
I'm almost sure that this Daniel and Anthony are my great uncles. I have Daniel (Donald) born about 1844 and Anthony born about 1838. They were children of Donald MacPhee and Ann Morrison. They were both carpenters and emigrated about 1867. They wern't born in Sydney but about 20 miles away in Eskasoni or Eskasoni Islands or Indian Islands.It wasn't unusual that when people went to the States that they would put down the closest population center as their place of birth rather than the small area that they came from. I'd really like to get in touch with your friend. I've been chasing these guys for years. I have a little information on them from the US census records and MA Vital Statistics but it would be great to contact one of their descendants. Regards, Rod MacPhee
