My gggrandfather was W.H. Macon, son of W.H.Macon and Frances Long. He married Delilah Frances Coker, and most
researchers have confused his marriage to Frances Coker with his father's marriage to Frances Long, thereby causing a generation gap. Your posting of this information regarding the senior Macon's marriage and the marriage of the Long daughter to Duke Williams clears up the 'mystery'. The Williams family are listed either in the household or next door to D.F. Macon in Opelika, AL.
