Charles Massie Family

On several other posts on this forum and on the Massie forum, I saw a discussion concerning whether Ann Macon was married to Charles Massie or someone named Christian. Is there any new information to resolve this or is it a case of going with the publication that is thought to most likely be correct?
I was recently viewing the web site of "The Huguenot Society of The Founders of Manakin in the Colony of Virginia"(http://manakin.addr.com/). There is a page called "Registered Lineages" which lists the first three generations that have been accepted as a basis for membership in this group. One of the listings was:
Gideon Macon--Ann Macon--Elizabeth Massie
So this society for whatever reason accepted that there was a Gideon with daughter Ann who had a daughter Elizabeth Massie. I'm assuming they require some kind of reasonable proof.
I'm wondering if they assist potential members with access to approved applications similar to DAR. It would be interesting to see the Macon one.
I realize that your post is an older one, but if you happen to see this, I would like to know if there is anything new.
I descend from Sussanah Moss, daughter of Elizabeth Massie and John Moss. I can give you information about Sussanah and husband Benjamin Thurmond and their family if you are interested.
